The first class in this series will focus on Colette: an outstanding French novelist (Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, 28 January 1873 – 3 August 1954) nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948. Her best novels, largely concerned with the pains and pleasures of love, are remarkable for their command of sensual description.
We'll be making a favourite recipe of Colette: gougères, a delicious cheese puff that's easy and makes a great appetizer to pass around at a cocktail party. We'll also make escalope de poulet à la dijonnaise, slices of tender chicken in a creamy mustard sauce. And to finish, the art of tuiles aux amandes, a delicious dessert of the Burgundy region.
