Ever wanted to learn how to make Greek baklava and those amazing frangipane tarts that you see in exquisite French patisseries? Now is your opportunity.....
We have invited Chef and baker extraordinaire, Zoe Lloyd, to host this class. Zoe is of Greek decent and spent many years making baklava at her mothers side. Zoe worked for Chef Scott Barrett as his sous and pastry chef and knows a thing or two about creating the perfect tart.
We will start by forming the baklava cigars and making the citrus syrup that they will be baked with. While the baklava is cooking we will whip up a batch of sweet pastry for the frangipane tart, poach our rhubarb, make the frangipane mixture, and gently reduce the rhubarb syrup.
When the sweet treats emerge for the oven we will sit down and enjoy them with a glass of vino. Any extras will be boxed up for you to take home.
